Spurs won both matches against Leicester last season and have enjoyed some big wins recently too – 6- in May 2017 and 5-4 in May 2018. After Spurs’ double last season, however, Leicester hit back in this season’s first meeting – Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison scoring as the Foxes hit back from a Harry Kane goal down to win 2-1. Tottenham Hotspur have home advantage and are in better form since lockdown, but Leicester dug deep to keep their top-four hopes in their own hands last time out and can claim a big win again.
Spurs have been inconsistent themselves, but they have lost just once since lockdown, whereas Leicester have struggled for points.
It has taken them from comfortably in third place to scrapping for their Champions League place – a place that had seemed a certainty before lockdown.
But the Foxes’ win against Sheffield United should not be understated. It was a big three points and secured a top-six place, and the top-four finish is still in their control.
Spurs have hit form to ensure their own European hopes – with Jose Mourinho admitting he wants a Europa League place – remain too.
Harry Kane’s goals and Son Heung-Min’s return to form have been central to that, as well as Toby Alderweireld’s return in defence.
Leicester are light in defence, but have Jamie Vardy scoring goals at the other end.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have dipped alarmingly since lockdown and they are difficult to back because of that.
But the win at Sheffield United kept them in the top four and they can dig deep for another three points.
Tottenham have home advantage and a better record so they start as favourites, but Leicester could be worth backing at 11/5 with Bet365 and Betway as they look to close in on a Champions League place.
With Leicester light at the back, and given the goals in this fixture in the past, both teams to score has been set at a best price of 3/4 with Betway.

Leicester kept their top-four hopes alive in mid-week and they can take a big step towards Champions League qualification with another three points in this game.
Eric Dier remains suspended, while Dele Alli is not expected back until the final game of the season. Lucas Moura is expected to be available, but Tanguy NDombele’s frustrating debut season appears to be over due to a knee inury.
Harry Kane – Scored twice in the win against Newcastle to continue a decent return to action after injury. He now has 15 league goals for the season.
Son Heung-Min – Returned to form just in time to rescue Spurs’ slid, scoring against Arsenal and Newcastle and reaching double figures for assists for the season too.
Toby Alderweireld – Spurs’ return to form has coincided with his return to defence, and he scored the winner in the North London derby too.
Wins against Arsenal and Newcastle have kept Tottenham’s European qualification hopes alive. Son Heung-Min and Toby Alderweireld scored as they came from behind to win the North London Derby, while Son opened the scoring again in mid-week. Harry Kane then netted twice to seal a 3-1 win.
James Maddison’s hopes of returning before the end of the season have finally been curtailed and Ben Chilwell also faces a summer of rehabilitation too as they both recover from injuries. Christian Fuchs has also now been ruled out for a few months. Marc Albrighton is expected to miss this game too and Caglar Soyuncu is suspended. It means options for rotation are limited, but Demarai Gray’s goal could put him in the frame to start. Teenage wing-back Luke Thomas may continue on the left.
Jamie Vardy –No goals last time out but he did get an assist and has 23 league goals in 33 league games as he closes in on the Golden Boot.
Ayoze Perez – Back on the scoresheet in mid-week in the vital win against Sheffield United, to move to eight league goals for the season.
Jonny Evans – The experienced defender finds himself with two less familiar defensive partners – albeit both are experienced defenders in their own right – and the Northern Irishman needs to keep Harry Kane under wraps.
Leicester have only won twice since restart, but one of those wins was their most recent game – a vital three points against Sheffield United. Ayoze Perez and Demarai Gray scored their goals, as the Foxes recovered from a 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth – despite Jamie Vardy having given them a 1-0 lead in that game.
