Key Man

It's been quite the season for Sevilla as a number of players have stepped in at various times to see them climb toward the top of the table.  But the one ever-present has been center midfielder Vicente Iborra.  He had an assist on Thursday against Celta Vigo at home, taking that tally to two.  He's scored seven times in the league as well, which shows remarkable flexibility for a man that plays in the center of the park in a 'holding' midfield role in most occasions.  The 29 year old would be a key players in most national sides, but such is the talent of Spain that he will likely never get the call.  Expect him to be his usual consistent self away to Malaga.

Sevilla have three wins, one draw, and one loss in their last five matches.  A 3-0 loss away to Barcelona had them scratching heads before they won 4-2 at home to Deportivo.  A 0-0 draw away to Valencia then followed.  They then won 2-0 at home to Granada before facing Celta Vigo on Thursday, and they won 2-1 against the ten men.

Malaga will come into this match with quite a bit of confidence. It wasn\'t all that long ago that they came out of their home stadium with a very big 2-0 with over Barcelona. Since then, they have recorded two more wins to pull even further away from the lower echelons of the table. They can put themselves firmly in mid-table by finishing the season strongly. Sevilla, on the other hand, are in a race with Atletico for third place and automatic Champions League qualification. It was once almost a formality that they would get it, but now they have surrendered a big cushion and must fight for it. There is little room for error left, but they do have the luxury of only having this competition to worry about so they will be confident in edging it.
