Lazio enter this match off the back of a euphoric seventh Coppa Italia victory having defeated Atalanta in midweek. That will buoy them greatly, but they will nonetheless still be disappointed with the way the league season has ended up going. They are in eighth place here on 58 points, four off the pace of sixth place Roma, who are in the final European spot. Even with two wins, this one and the match against Torino, they are not likely to get enough help to make the top six.
Bologna come into this match in 13th place on 40 points so far. They have a very minor worry to contend with, however, as they could still, theoretically, end up falling down and being relegated. That would take a ton of terrible results, including those below them surpassing them and for them to lose in this match and against Napoli. Eric Pulgar, a lesser known Chilean star compared to Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal, is another that can have an impact. He’s scored six goals and dished two assists as well to help show that Chile have more hope than just what this ‘golden’ generation brought to the table.
