Despite Juventus' poor (for them) performances of late, you have to just see them being favorites here. Lazio haven't beaten Juve in a very long time, and it's hard to see how they are going to do so now. Even with a tactical lineup that is meant to just about mirror Juve, it still should not be enough to defend the reigning champions. Juve will see this one out as they trudge on toward another title.
Despite Lazio's status in the league, Juventus are at ½ odds to win, the draw is at 16/5, and a Lazio victory is at 6/1 odds.
The double chance odds of a Lazio win or a draw is 13/8.
Both teams to score is set at 19/20 for a yes and at 4/5 for a no.
A wager on a 1-0 win for the Old Lady at full time would bring you 10/1 odds
Massimiliano Allegri's side will be without defensive duo Federico Mattiello and Dani Alves due to injury. They also will be without suspended midfielder Stefano Sturaro or defender Alex Sandro. Patrice Evra hasn't been included in the match squad, while Mario Lemina and Medhi Benatia are away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Juventus have to be able to depend upon Pablo Dybala for consistent performances. Juventus almost never have issues at the back, but they do sometimes lack that little bit of creativity going forward. In a league where defenses are so well drilled tactically, this is a major issue. Dybala has four goals and three assists, but he has the potential to do so much more, especially in a more free role than most of his teammates.
In their last five matches, Juve have three wins and two losses in all competitions. They most recently lost last Sunday at Fiorentina by a score of 2-1.
Goalkeeper:Buffon
Defenders:Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci
Midfielders:Cuadrado, Khedira, Pjanic, Marchisio, Pjaca
Forwards:Dybala, Higuain
Simone Inzaghi will only be without two players: Senad Lulic (suspension) and Balde Keita (Africa Cup of Nations).
The man to watch for Lazio remains to be Felipe Anderson. Since a breakout season last year, he's continued to play well with a bit of an under-the-radar type of season. He only has two goals to his name, but he has eight assists already. He is very good at finding his teammates, so if the opposition tries to hold him back too much, they can find themselves in big trouble as he is a good passer. He'll need to unlock the Juventus back line with quick passes into the channels and in behind if Lazio are to get a rare win against the Old Lady.
Lazio have four wins and one loss in their last five in all competitions. They last played against Genoa in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday, and they won by a score of 4-2 at home.
Goalkeeper:Marchetti
Defenders:de Vrij, Bastos, Radu
Midfielders:Milinkovic-Savic, Parolo, Biglia, Lukaku
