This is a game of two misfiring teams, so making a prediction with any certainty is difficult. There is clearly something not quite right at PSG, and the loss of Ibrahimovic and Luiz – two fantastic players and huge personalities to boot – has dented the Parisians morale and ability on the pitch.
Arsenal needed a 94th minute penalty to take all three points against Southampton, and in truth they have rarely been at their fluent best all season. With captain and key defender Laurent Koscielny set to miss the game through injury, the Gunners are significantly weakened.
The French side have conceded in four of their five competitive outings this term, and that is unlike them. The Gunners have conceded five in four too, so a score draw looks likely to be the outcome here.
There is value in taking the draw (11/4) and backing both the 1-1 (13/2) and 2-2 (15/1) correct scorelines with small wagers on Tuesday. Certainly, the Both Teams to Score market is worth plundering at 4/6, and Giroud – back at the ground he loves so much – should prove too powerful a force for this fragile PSG backline: back him to score anytime at 9/4.
What is going on at PSG? A week after suffering a 1-3 defeat at Monaco, the Ligue 1 champions could only muster a 1-1 draw with Saint Etienne at the Parc des Princes on Friday evening. The loss of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Luiz – plus the upheaval caused by Unai Emery’s arrival – is clearly affecting them at the moment.

It wasn’t conclusive by any means, but Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Southampton on Saturday means they are now unbeaten in three after their opening weekend shocker against Liverpool; good practice heading to France for a tie which appears to be one they can get something out of.
