France will win this match.

France have a great goalscoring record against Luxembourg, and with teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe joining a front line already boasting Atletico Madrid duo Antoine Griezmann and Kevin Gameiro, they should continue that record here.
France are huge favourites to beat neighbours Luxembourg, with Bet365 offering odds of 1/20 on an away win. The draw is 12/1 with Bet365 and Betfair.
Both teams to score has been set at 3/10 for no and 12/5 for yes (Bet365), while Bet365 are also offering 13/10 on France winning by four or more goals.
Reason: France would be huge favourites against minnows such as Luxembourg anyway, but when you throw in their current form and their superb record against their neighbours, anything less than an away win is just too improbable.
Teenage defender Dirk Carlson is back in the Luxembourg squad after missing the defeat to Holland through suspension. Experienced Differdange 03 midfielder Mathias Janisch is ruled out with an achilles injury, however.
Captain Aurelien Joachim has scored three times in four qualifiers so far this season – the most in Group A – becoming the first Luxembourg player to score more than ten international goals for more than half a century in the process.
A draw in Belarus in October is Luxembourg’s only point so far in qualifying though they were unlucky to lose their opening fixture in Bulgaria, after equalising in stoppage time only for Bulgaria to retake the lead a minute later. Luxembourg have lost both home matches so far in qualifying, with Sweden winning 1-0 in October and the Netherlands winning 3-1 in their most recent match in November.

With Paul Pogba suspended and a number of experienced defenders unavailable, Didier Deschamps may use the game to blood new talent, with Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kylian Mbappe all bidding for an international debut after firing Monaco to the top of Ligue 1. Patrice Evra, Raphael Varane and Bacary Sagna are all out injured.
Having been one of France’s star men at Euro 2016, Antoine Griezmann has carried his form into the new season. The Atletico Madrid man has 22 goals and nine assists to his name so far this season.
France drew their last match, an international friendly with the Ivory Coast, 0-0 back in November. In qualifying, they have won three games in a row – seeing off Sweden, the Netherlands and Bulgaria – after a goalless draw in Belarus in their opening game.
