Italy VS Spain Match Prediction

Draw will win this match.
This is one of the oldest and best-loved fixtures in European football, with both of these sides being multiple-time World Cup and European Championship winners. In 31 clashes it is Spain with the slight lead at 11-9, although the Italians victory at Euro 2016 was their first win against the Spaniards in five attempts. That said, Spain haven’t won on Italian soil since 1971! These stats clearly tell the tale of future Italy vs Spain betting fixtures.

This is an intriguing clash considering that the two sides have met as recently as the summer, and with Italy getting the upper and that day – and having avoided defeat against Spain on some soil for the past 45 years – they would naturally be handed favouritism.
But the loss of captain Giorgio Chiellini to suspension is huge; the Juventus centre back is a colossus in defence. That will play into the hands of the in-form Spanish duo of David Silva and Diego Costa, amongst others.
But there is a lot to like about this Italy side, especially on home soil, and this could degenerate into a bit of a chess match on grass. A tactical, technical draw awaits.
It is nigh on impossible to split these two titans of European football, and the good news is we don’t have to: the draw is available at 21/10.
Five of the last six meetings between this pair have witnessed less than three goals, and with an emphasis on avoiding defeat here, rather than securing the win, we’ll take the Correct Score markets of 0-0 and 1-1 at 5/1 and 6/1 respectively seeing as though the Under 2.5 Goals market is untouchable at 4/9.
In just Giampiero Ventura’s second game in charge of Italy, he will be looking to emulate his predecessor Antonio Conte who masterminded a 2-1 win for Italy over Spain in the last 16 of Euro 2016. Suspended captain Giorgio Chiellini will be a huge loss here, however.
