Arsenal vs West Ham Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Arsenal are at 8/15 to win, a draw is at 10/3, and a West Ham win is at 5/1.

Ahead of this match, Arsenal are down in sixth place in the league with five matches remaining in the season. They have earned 54 points now, a full 14 behind Spurs in fourth as it stands. They have been out of the running, realistically, for the Champions League for some time now, largely due to terrible away form, so they are now going to have to win the Europa League to get back in.

As for West Ham, they still have some work to do in order to clinch security. They are in 14th place with 35 points now, putting them a full seven above the bottom three, but they could still go down if they fail to get more than a couple of points and also have a team or two beneath them make a great run.  Still yet, the chances of that happening are rather slim at this stage.  Anything from this match would be a huge boost to them.  They have looked good recently with five points from the last three PL matches.

At home, the Gunners have been much, much better than away from there this term.  They have been the league's third best team, behind only the two Manchester clubs, and have amassed 41 points already.  They have only lost twice there, to those two clubs above them as well, showing they are a tough team to beat at the Emirates.  They have won the last three league matches and four of the last five as well.

As for West Ham, they have struggled about as much as you'd expect a team fighting the drop would on the road.  They have only won twice on the way to taking 12 points in total so far, but they have had four of those points come in the last five matches and took a point the last time they went away- to Chelsea- to suggest that they can give the Gunners big trouble.

No for both teams to score, via Ladbrokes, is at 13/10.

Arsenal vs West Ham Prediction

With Arsenal's season resting on the results of their Europa League semi-final (and a potential final), they will be looking forward to that.  Because of that, threatened West Ham can scratch out a point toward their safety.

Correct Score Prediction: Arsenal 0-0 West Ham

Team News

Arsene Wenger will certainly have a big eye on his semi-final meeting with Atletico to come on Thursday, and that will prompt him to rotate some men- as he's been doing throughout the run.  One man that will play is striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is ineligible in the Europa League. Those set to miss out through injuries include midfielders Santi Cazorla and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Jack Wilshere is also a doubt to feature for this match.

Key Man

The Gunners might be lacking some quality in the middle of the pitch, but they have hardly ever lacked that up front.  And that's certainly not the case when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the pitch.  Last weekend, even in the loss, he and Lacazette proved that they can play together as the Gabon man set up the Frenchman for the opening goal.  He's already scored six times as well, helping him to become the second most prolific player in the first eight matches in club history.

Team Form

Arsenal have a loss, a draw, and three wins in their last five matches:

2-1 loss at Newcastle
2-2 draw at CSKA Moscow (UEL)
3-2 home win vs Southampton
4-1 home win vs CSKA Moscow (UEL)
3-0 home win vs Stoke

Arsenal Predicted Starting Line-up

Expected Line-up: 4-3-3

Team News

David Moyes has injuries that will prevent center back Winston Reid, center midfielder Pedro Obiang, and attacker Michail Antonio from playing a role in this match.  After scoring the equalizer last time out, look for Andy Carroll to be pushing for a place in the team, though, whose place he takes would be up for debate.

Key Man

After a late goal to give them what could be a crucial point against Stoke, Carroll would be most people's choice.  Marko Arnautovic is another shout, but the man that has to be relied upon here is the suddenly back in form Joe Hart.  The goalkeeper looked like he might not even make it onto the plane for Russia after a horrible first half to the season, but he is looking great lately and will be asked to come up with even more heroics against the Gunners.

Team Form

West Ham have two draws, a win, and two losses in their last five matches:

1-1 home draw vs Stoke
1-1 draw at Chelsea
3-0 home win vs Southampton
0-3 home loss vs Burnley
4-1 loss at Swansea

West Ham Predicted Starting Line-up

Expected Line-up: 3-4-3

With Arsenal's season riding on the line beginning on Thursday in the Europa League, the expectation for this match will be that the Gunners and Wenger- in a bid to possibly save his job yet again in Houdini fashion- will concentrate on that by rotating as much as he can. That means the Hammers, who are still in with a small chance of getting the drop, will have a chance to get something here, and a point looks likely for the visitors after taking draws in their other three away trips for London derbies this term.
Arsenal have four wins and a draw in their last five encounters with West Ham.
