West Ham United have not beat Liverpool since an FA Cup fourth round replay in 2016. Since then, Liverpool have won four times and there have been two draws. Last season, Liverpool won 4-0 at home but a 1-1 draw at London Stadium was one of the results which ultimately cost the Reds the title – Sadio Mane cancelling out Michail Antonio’s opener.

Liverpool’s FA Cup fourth-round blip against Shrewsbury Town was no more than that – a rare failure to win that has not crept into their league form so far.
Jurgen Klopp has made no secret of his priorities this season, already sacrificing the Carabao Cup and seemingly set to do the same in the FA Cup now too.
But in the Premier League, the Reds have simply been unstoppable – dropping just two points all season and winning late at Wolves in mid-week to maintain their winning form.
Sadio Mane picked up an injury in that game, but Liverpool will otherwise have their big guns back for this game and West Ham – given their current form and long injury list – should be very worried.
The Reds won four matches in a row against West Ham until last season’s costly draw – a run of games in which they scored four goals in each of those four games.
Given West Ham’s dreadful form, which the change in manager to David Moyes has done little to arrest, it could be a similar story in this match.
Players like Trent Alexander-Arnold should relish the opportunity to get forward and get at West Ham’s beleaguered defence.
Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino will be in the goals if so – and it hard to see West Ham producing anything worthy of stopping the indomitable force that Liverpool have become this season.

They do not concede often, and West Ham are out of form too, so a Liverpool win to nil at 13/10 with Ladbrokes and Betway could be worth backing.

It is hard to see any team stopping Liverpool in the Premier League given the Reds’ current form, and certainly not West Ham – who could suffer another heavy defeat in this fixture.
Robert Snodgrass and Arthur Masuaku are to be assessed due to knee injuries which ruled them out of contention at the weekend. The Hammers’ injury list includes Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, Felipe Anderson, Ryan Fredericks and Lucasz Fabianski, all of whom remain sidelined.
Mark Noble – Scored West Ham’s most recent goal in the crushing defeat at Leicester, and the captain remains key in midfield.
Sebastien Haller – The big striker has not lived up to expectations so far this season but he has six goals to his name and is still an attacking threat for the Hammers.
Michail Antonio – Back from injury and undoubtedly a player who can make a huge difference to West Ham’s attacking shape if he can regain top form.
West Ham are without a win in their last four matches in all competitions. They lost 1-0 at Sheffield United, drew at home to Everton thanks to Issa Diop’s goal but then lost 4-1 at Leicester and, last time out, lost 1-0 at home to Championship West Brom in the FA Cup fourth round.
Liverpool will bring their big guns back after a young team failed to see off Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup fourth round last time out. Sadio Mane could be absent with a muscle injury, while James Milner remains sidelined too. Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana could be back in contention.
Mohamed Salah – Missed a late chance to score against Shrewsbury, as Liverpool turned to their star men from the bench, but the Egyptian striker remains the Reds’ biggest attacking star.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – Goals and assists from right-back continue – his attacking record has been central to Liverpool’s success.
Roberto Firmino – Popped up with the late winner at Wolves last time out to keep Liverpool’s Premier League winning streak going.
Shrewsbury managed something very few teams have done last weekend – stopped Liverpool winning, after Curtis Jones and an own goal had put the Reds 2-0 up in their FA Cup tie. Jurgen Klopp fielded a much-changed team for that game, however, and their Premier League form has been outstanding. They are now unbeaten in 40 matches in the competition after Roberto Firmino’s late winner at Wolves ensured a 2-1 away win.
