While Southampton have won two and drawn one of their last three home matches against Spurs – including the original tie of this fourth-round fixture – they have lost their four in a row away from home. That includes Spurs’ 2-1 win in the league earlier this season, in which Tanguy NDombele and Harry Kane scored either side of Danny Ings’ strike. Ings scored the only goal of the game in the reverse fixture on New Year’s Day, however, while the original meeting in this FA Cup fixture saw Sofiane Boufal cancel out Son Heung-Min’s goal late on.

Tottenham Hotspur are in resurgent form and have won their last three home matches and four of the last five since Boxing Day.
Southampton struck late in the original tie to force this FA Cup fourth-round replay, but Spurs’ home form makes them favourites for this one.
New signing Steven Bergwijn is ineligible – signed after these sides originally met – but they still have players such as Son Heung-Min back in goalscoring form to lead their attacking charge.

Stuart Armstrong is out until after the winter break, while Yan Valery is back in training but may not be risked until after the rest period either. Angus Gunn is likely to be in goal, as he was for the first tie.
Danny Ings – Central to Southampton’s upturn in form and touted for England by former boss Jurgen Klopp, the striker has now scored 16 goals for the season.
James Ward-Prowse – Played at right-back last time out but likely to be returned his central midfield role, where he will again be key at both ends of the pitch.
Nathan Redmond – Proved his worth in attack in the latter part of this season, recently scoring in the wins against Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
After a resurgent start to the New Year – continuing the form they showed over Christmas – Southampton have won just one of their last four matches. Since beating Crystal Palace 2-0 through goals for Nathan Redmond and Stuart Armstrong, they have drawn with Tottenham – Sofiane Boufal scoring a late equaliser to set up this replay – and lost 4-0 to Liverpool.
