Spurs ended a disappointing season in encouraging form for the new campaign last time out, with Harry Kane back fit and in the goals and Son Heung-Min getting back to his best too.
Toby Alderweireld has reestablished himself at the back, while new signings Matt Doherty and Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg could prove shrewd acquisitions.
Everton have been even busier this summer, however, with James Rodriguez their most eye-catching signing and Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan good additions too.
Rodriguez joins an attacking unit in which Richarlison was scoring again last season and Dominic Calvert-Lewin had an excellent year. The extra quality the Colombian supplies could be a key factor in getting Everton across the leap from mid-table to European football.

Giovani Lo Celso faces a late fitness test and could join Japhet Tanganga on the sidelines for Sunday’s match. Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg and Matt Doherty are in line to make their Spurs debuts.

Fabian Delph could still be a couple of weeks away from fitness, but Andre Gomes is fit, as is defender Yerry Mina. Mason Holgate is out with a toe injury. Everton have been busy this summer and could start with debutants Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan and James Rodriguez.
Richarlison – Scored in Everton’s last win of last season to finish the campaign with 13 goals for the second consecutive campaign.
James Rodriguez – The Colombian winger was one of the more eye-catching signings of the summer, as he looks to recapture the form that made him so revered when Real Madrid signed him.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Enjoyed an excellent 2019-20 season, in which his performances saw him touted for an England call-up.
Everton won just three of their last 12 games of last season’s Premier League season. Richarlison scored the winner at Sheffield United on the penultimate day but they lost 3-1 to Bournemouth – Moise Kean scoring their goal – as the Cherries battled unsuccessfully to beat the drop on the last day of the season.
