Arsenal’s last win against Spurs was in December 2018, when they won 4-2 in the Premier League. Since then, they have lost 2-0 in the Carabao Cup and drawn the last two league games. This season’s league match saw Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane put Spurs 2-0 up, only for Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to earn Arsenal a point. Toby Alderweireld – Back in the defence to help Spurs to clean sheets in each of their last two matches – his importance remains.
Tottenham have kept clean sheets in both of their last two matches after conceding three in a 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United. An own goal helped them beat Everton 1-0 and they drew 0-0 with struggling Bournemouth last weekend.
Arsenal’s appeal against Eddie Nketiah’s own goal was unsuccessful and so the striker will miss the next three matches, ending his run of games since lockdown. Bernd Leno and Pablo Mari are long-term absentees, and Mesut Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi seem unlikely to feature after being frozen out by Mikel Arteta. The former had seemingly resurrected his Arsenal career under his ex-team-mate, but he has not started since lockdown.

Bukayo Saka – Scored against Wolves as his successful season on a personal level continued. He is back in the front three now too.
David Luiz – At fault in some key games this season, Arsenal can not afford for the Brazilian centre-back to slip up in this match.
Arsenal have got firmly back on track of late, continuing that trend with a 2-0 win at Wolves before a 1-1 draw with Leicester in which they finished with ten men. Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette scored in the 2-0 win away to Wolves, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring against the Foxes. Eddie Nketiah was sent off before Leicester’s equaliser, however.
