England have not lost to Switzerland since 1981, winning eight of their 11 matches since then. Their most recent meeting was a friendly in September, at Leicester, where Marcus Rashford’s second-half goal was enough to earn England a 1-0 win.
England were well below-par against Netherlands and ultimately masters of their own downfall as they lost after extra time.
