Roma will win this match.
This will be the first time these two teams have met in European football, after their previous meeting was curtailed because of lockdown.
Whereas both teams were in patchy form when they were last scheduled to meet in this tie, they have both enjoyed strong finishes to their respective domestic seasons.
Sevilla have been tough to beat for first time, but turned draws into winning form as they finished fourth in La Liga.
AS Roma, meanwhile, were fifth in Serie A so their only hope of Champions League football rests on this tournament.
They ended the year in winning form too, however, with Edin Dzeko continuing his excellent goalscoring record with the club.
A win against Juventus with a much-changed team should have given them confidence – they were able to rest their star men and emerged with some selection questions too.
On neutral ground, the key will be whether AS Roma can break down the stubborn Sevilla defence, with Dzeko set to be key to that.
Chris Smalling has now left Roma, meanwhile, but they have a strong defensive unit too and their 3-4-3 formation has served them well of late.
There could be very little in this game as a result, so the key will be which team’s match-winners can make the biggest impact.
Dzeko could be integral to Roma’s hopes therefore – they are certainly capable of ending Sevilla’s unbeaten run.
Sevilla are favourites to beat Roma with the bookmakers, but Roma’s winning form means they could be a good price at 5/2 to win with Bet365.
Both teams are in good form and difficult to beat, however. Betting against both teams to score will return evens with Bet365.
Under 2.5 goals will return 11/14 with 10Bet, meanwhile, with very little between these teams.
Edin Dzeko is Roma’s top striker, and he is 21/10 with Paddy Power to score at any time.
With both sides in good form and difficult to beat, there could be very little in this game – Roma have found some good winning form though and can sneak a win.
Goalkeeper Thomas Vaclik targeted this match for his return from injury, but Sevilla’s good defensive form means there is no reason to rush him back. Yassine Bounou could continue in goal.
Sevilla are unbeaten in their last 17 matches, but they have drawn nine of them and won the other eight. They ended the season with a run of five wins in six matches, however – concluding the season by beating Valencia 1-0 – Reguilon scoring the only goal of the game.
Jordan Veretout is suspended and Lorenzo Pellegrini remains a doubt due to his facial injury. Chris Smalling’s loan deal has ended, so Roma will have to make at least one change from the team that beat Juventus on the final day of the Serie A season. Gianluca Mancini could start, with Aleksandr Kolarov, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pau Lopez and Edin Dzeko also among the players set to return to the starting XI too.
Roma finished the Serie A season in excellent form, with seven wins and one draw from their eight matches. They ended the campaign with a 3-1 win at Juventus despite a much-changed team – Diego Perotti scoring twice, after setting up Nikola Kalinic’s opener, to make it four wins in a row prior to this game.
