Our Prediction Tip

RB Leipzig will win this match.

The previous leg back in London marked the first time the two sides had met.  It ended 0-1 to RB Leipzig thanks to Timo Werner’s 58th minute penalty.

RB Leipzig vs Tottenham Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

RB Leipzig are at -175, a draw is at +320, and Tottenham are at +425.

RB Leipzig will enter this match in a bit of a rut, for their standards, at least.  They have had two consecutive draws now to put them five points off of Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga now.  It truly looks like it will be their title to win yet again, unless the upstarts can pull off a minor miracle from here.  So, some folks might just assume that winning here and going on a long run may be their only remaining shot at glory.  Especially with Borussia Dortmund also putting themselves in the equation.  This is a very good team, but they are showing one or two signs of weakness.

Tottenham will come into this match in eight place in the Premier League currently, meaning that they remain in the ever so tight race for the Champions League places.  They are technically seven off of Chelsea in fourth, but since fifth could be good enough, they are only four off of it.  They have a lot of work to do having sustained a big blow to their league hopes and being knocked out of the FA Cup.  So, some would like to see them win here solely to stop the bleeding.

RB Leipzig’s home record this season includes eight wins, five draws, and just two defeats thus far.  Both of those came in the autumn.  They do have two draws in their last three games, so they have slight holes.  That said, this is a very big ask for Spurs.  Speaking of which, they come into this match with an away record that includes just four wins, nine draws, a loss on penalties, and seven losses in all competitions.  It will be a gargantuan task to take a victory and even more so to actually go through.

Betfair have both sides scoring at 1.8.

Wern scoring anytime is at Ladbrokes for 5/6.

RB Leipzig vs Tottenham Prediction

That away goal in the first leg for RB Leipzig could just prove crucial here.  It so often is, and it will take a whole lot of doing for Spurs to make it up.  In the end, it’s just a bridge too far for them to cross back over.

Correct Score Prediction: RB Leipzig 2-1 Tottenham

RB Leipzig Team News

Julian Nagelsmann will be missing Ibrahima Konate, Willi Orban, and Ethan Ampadu due to injuries.  Kevin Kampl’s status is also up in the air for this fixture.

RB Leipzig Key Man

Timo Werner was the man that coolly stepped up the spot and sunk Spurs in the first leg, and he will be the one to keep an eye on here.  The reported Liverpool target played just half an hour on Saturday as well, so he should be more than charged up and ready to put Tottenham away.  At the back, Dayot Upamecano returns having missed the first leg with a suspension.  He is a massive figure and will be tough to compromise for the visitors.

RB Leipzig Team Form

RB Leipzig have two draws and three losses in their last five matches:

0-0 draw at Wolfsburg
1-1 home draw vs Bayer Leverkusen
0-5 win at Schalke
0-1 win at Tottenham (UCL)
3-0 home win vs Werder Bremen

RB Leipzig Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 3-5-2

Tottenham Team News

Jose Mourinho continues to be without key attackers Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane, while Moussa Sissoko and Bend Davies are also sidelined.  Juan Foyth is a possibility, but it does not look like he will be favored at this stage.

Tottenham Key Man

A season ago, one of Spurs’ heroes in this very competition proved to be an unlikely one in the form of Lucas Moura.  He’s once again been inconsistent this term, as always, but the Brazilian is a man that has some big-match winning experience and could be the man they need to go through.  Dele Alli is another that will be critical.  He’s clearly out of his depth a bit where he is, but he is still their most capable at scoring and providing.  He’ll need to lead from the front to see them push themselves past the German title challengers.

Tottenham Team Form

Tottenham have two draws and three losses in their last five matches:

1-1 draw at Burnley
1-1 home draw, penalty loss vs Norwich (FA Cup)
2-3 home loss vs Wolves
2-1 loss at Chelsea
0-1 home loss vs RB Leipzig (UCL)

Tottenham Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 3-4-3

Tottenham are well and truly reeling at the moment, and that just does not bode well for them here. Sure, their hosts have dropped some points in the last couple of weeks, but they are much more intact than the Londoners at present. With that said, you can't count out Tottenham, either. They were in a tough spot a year ago and somehow made the final. While that seems unlikely, you also can't expect the Germans to wipe the floor with them.
Spurs come into this match on the back of a five-match winless run across all competitions.
