Poland vs Israel Betting Tips and Odds

Betfair have the following odds available for this match:

Poland are at 1.47 to win, a draw is at 4.0, and an Israel win is at 7.0

This match will be a battle of the two top sides so through three games in Group G play.  Poland are a perfect nine from nine in terms of points, while Israel have done well to grab seven so far.  If, and it’s a big if, Israel can win here, they would jump to the top and do a lot for paving a path toward automatic qualification.  Regardless, both teams have a buffer, with North Macedonia on four points, already, so this is a grand opportunity for each to take pressure off later matches by winning now.

Poland will come into this match having had five wins, three draws, and five losses over the last year.  Two of the losses came in the World Cup, while two others came at the hands of Portugal and Italy in the Nations League, so those aren’t the worst results.  In fact, they have won three matches in a row, in qualification, and have given up no goals in the process, so they are surging at the moment.

Israel on the other hand are also playing well currently.  They have five wins, a draw, and three losses to their names, but they have really picked it up of late to wing five of their last seven and lose just one over that stretch in the last year.  Wins over Austria, at home, and away to Latvia have them second in the group, so confidence will be building amongst the group now.  It’s a big ask, but this is their moment if there is ever one.

Betfair have over 1.5 goals scored at 1.28.

Ladbrokes have no for both sides scoring at 7/10.

Poland vs Israel Prediction

Correct Score Prediction: Poland 2-0 Israel

Poland Team News

Jerzy Brzeczek has an injury that is keeping out goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.  Forward Lukasz Teodorczyk and midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski are among those to be left out of the squad via coach’s decision.

Poland Key Man

They tried to go with a different tactical setup that let him on the bench to begin the game, but ultimately they turned to Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek to bail them out.  Coming on in the second half, he scored moments later and it led to all three points going their way.  Even if Piatek doesn’t strike, you still have Robert Lewandowski that can also bail you out of any possible trouble.  The Bayern man has scored so many goals, and it now looks like his influence is rubbing off on the newest generation of strikers.

Israel Team News

Andi Herzog saw injuries keep defender Ben Bitton, midfielder Eyal Golasa, and forwards Tomer Hemed and Itay Shechter out of the squad.  Forward Tomer Hemed and defender Eitan Tibi are among the others to be left out.

Israel Key Man

Poland aren’t the only team in the group with a striker that is surging currently.  Eran Zahavi scored three times in the win over Latvia, using his hat trick to give them three points that gives them a brilliant chance of moving on in this particular group.  In midfield, Baram Kayal is going to be essential here. Coming up against Zielinski is never an easy task, and Kayal is going to be one of those tasked with taking him out of the game.  On top of that, he had an assist in the Latvia win, so there is that to worry about, too.

Israel Team Form

Poland are trying to turn themselves into one of the giants of European football, and while their performance at the World Cup shows that they have a lot of work to do, they are still a major side to watch for. Particularly at home in this very stadium, where they have been so dominant. Things are looking up a great deal for Israel, but they will be no match for the Poles in Warsaw.
Poland have won each of their last 11 matches in this stadium.
