Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:
Peru are at +800 to win, a draw is at +450, and a Brazil win is at -334.
- Top two teams from each group advance automatically. Two third-placed teams will also progress to the knockout round.
Through the second round of fixtures in the group, it is Brazil that remain on top of the pile. They are on four points and have a slight advantage over Peru due to having a better goal difference. Venezuela is in third, on two points, so they still have the chance to move up depending on this result. Should this be a draw and they win their match, we could be looking at all three ending up on five points. Bolivia are bottom and have a -5 goal difference, so it’s unlikely they will be able to move on.
Peru will come into this match in decent form here, and they won’t be overawed by Brazil given the way that the hosts have played in their first two matches. They did well on Tuesday night to come back from a goal down, something that is never an easy feat, even if it was against relatively weak Bolivia. That was their fifth win of the last year, to go along with two draws and six losses.
Brazil, meanwhile, continue to put up decent looking results but just are not clicking in the manner that we- or they- would expect to. They labored throughout in the win over Bolivia, and that kept up against Venezuela as well. It means they do have even more pressure on them here, despite the fact it’s unlikely they would be ousted in the group stage. Over the last year, they have just one loss and two draws in 15 matches. They just have never really been all that convincing during it.
Ladbrokes have no for both teams scoring is at 4/6.

Brazil could easily bounce back and roar into life with a show for the ages, but that Selecao team doesn’t look like it’s awake inside these players. Peru sit back and try to counter, frustrating the hosts to a draw that sends each into the quarterfinals for sure.
Ricardo Gareca now has center back Carlos Zambrano, midfielder Renato Tapia, and striker Paulo Guerrero to be mindful of as each has a yellow card to his name already.
A lot of teams might have buckled under the pressure of going a goal behind to a team that would have simply parked the bus on them, but Peru didn’t do that, and instead, they relied upon their two veteran stars. Paulo Guerrero didn’t play much of a role at the World Cup last summer through strange circumstances, but he had a big part, equalizing the match right before half time with Bolivia to turn the momentum. Former Schalke man Jefferson Farfan- now playing inside rather than on the wings- then gave them the lead ten minutes into the second half as they claimed victory.
Peru have two wins, a draw, and two losses in their last five matches:

0-0 draw vs Venezuela
0-3 home loss vs Colombia (Fri)
1-0 home win vs Costa Rica (Fri)
0-2 home loss vs El Salvador (Fri)
Tite only has Phillipe Coutinho and Casemiro on yellow cards, so that will give him a lot of options. Some changes could be made here after their disappointing showing, but a lot of the issues seem to be with chemistry rather than poor performance in general.
There was a lot of talk about how Phillipe Coutinho would go on to become the leading scorer of the tournament after his two-goal game against Bolivia, but that looked to have been ceased- at least for now- against Venezuela. Can he re-energize that or will he fall back into his club form again? With how tight it could be, the bench might just decide this one, and on it, Tite has a couple of big options. One of them is Gabriel Jesus, but the man to watch could be Everton. He scored against Bolivia and looks super promising, and he could be just the man to come on and run at a knackered defence.
Brazil have a draw and four wins in their last five matches:
0-0 home draw vs Venezuela
3-0 home win vs Bolivia
7-0 home win vs Honduras (Fri)
2-0 home win vs Qatar (Fri)
1-3 win at Czech Republic (Fri)
