Norwich vs Leicester Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Norwich are at 7/2, a draw is at 11/4, and Leicester is at 8/11.

Norwich City come into this match still stuck on the bottom of the PL table, and they will remain there regardless of what happens in this match or the rest of the weekend… for now.  They are six back of 18th place ahead of the weekend and a further point away from climbing out, so their work is cut out for them.  They have just one win in their last five- one of only four all season.  In their last four, it’s even more bleak, as they have a solitary point to show for their efforts.

Leicester, meanwhile, are on a poor run of form as well.  They still have a ten-point gap between themselves and sixth place Tottenham as things stand, with fifth looking like enough to make the Champions League this term, but the worry is their form of late.  They don’t look the same, and they have won just three of the last 11.  In their last five, they have just one win and five points to show, so there is a lot for them to do if they don’t want to cough up what looking to be a sure fire UCL slot.

Norwich’s home form this term has been far from great, as you would guess given their overall record.  They are the league’s worst home side with 12 points- three wins and three draws- in 13 games.  With that said, they have looked a bit better of late there with five points from their last four games at home.  Leicester, meanwhile, have largely traveled well.  They have obtained 23 points- via seven wins and two draws- in 13 matches to give them a very respectable record.  However, they have just a point from the last two matches on the road and only seven points from the last 15, so that is a worry.

Ladbrokes have both teams scoring at 4/7.

Betfair have Vardy and Pukki scoring anytime at 1.62 and 2.1.

Norwich City vs Leicester City Prediction

Leicester are in desperate need of a win here.  It might not seem like it, but this could be a pivotal moment in their season.  If they can’t beat the Canaries, they might not be able to get over the line, truth be told.

Correct Score Prediction: Norwich 1-2 Leicester City

Norwich City Team News

Daniel Farke will be missing Timm Klose, Onel Hernandez, and Sam Byram for this tricky home clash with the Foxes.  Meanwhile, Christoph Zimmermann has been deemed as 50/50 to feature.

Norwich City Key Man

With the Canaries, you can never doubt that they will press and torment you.  They have a very good, underrated front line that is top notch at that, and Todd Cantwell is a big part of that.  The English midfielder has impressed immensely this term, and he could be just the kind of headache Leicester want to avoid.  Up front, Teemu Pukki is another man, like Vardy, that has not been as lights out as he was in the early stretches of the season.  Still yet, he is in double digits in the PL and offers a threat that must not be ignored.

Norwich City Team Form

Norwich have three losses, a draw, and a win in their last five matches:

3-0 loss at Wolves
0-1 home loss vs Liverpool
0-0 draw at Newcastle
1-2 win at Burnley (FA Cup)
2-1 loss at Tottenham

Norwich City Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-2-3-1

Leicester Team News

Brendan Rodgers continues to be without Nampalys Mendy, Wilfred Ndidi, and Daniel Amartey, severely limiting his options in the middle of the park.  Hamza Choudhury, fortunately for him, is eligible to return having served a suspension, while Kelechi Iheanacho is still being assessed over his own fitness.

Leicester Key Man

It has been eight, yes eight, games since Jamie Vardy has found the back of the net now.  That seems impossible for a man that was the runway goal scoring leader at one stage, but that is the reality.  Now would be the perfect time for him to hit back, but will he be capable?  James Maddison is another man that has gone out of form for the Foxes of late, and they badly need him to show some quality here.  He had come up big plenty of times earlier in the season, and they definitely need one of these two to step up.

Leicester Team Form

Leicester have two losses, two draws, and a win in their last five matches:

0-1 home loss vs Manchester City
0-0 draw at Wolves
2-2 home draw vs Chelsea
2-1 loss at Aston Villa (EFL Cup)
0-1 win at Brentford (FA Cup)

Leicester Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-5-1

Two or three months ago, this match would have been seen as a slam dunk for Leicester. They would have came to town, grabbed the points, and left. But that is far from a given now. Norwich are languishing at the foot of the table, sure, but they have played decently at home of late, including pressing and pushing Liverpool to the brink. They came up short, as they likely will here, but they can certainly trouble the Foxes.
Leicester City come into this match having won just three of their last 11 PL matches.
