Perhaps one of the most telling ways to look at the differences between these sides is the UEFA Nations League that began last year. In it, Moldova competed in Group D2. They finished in third place. That right there speaks volumes about where they are. Defenders Benjamin and Lucas Hernandez are both out injured, along with midfielder Corentin Tolisso and forwards Anthony Martial, Ousmane Dembele, and Alexandre Lacazette. So that’s helped him make his choices, though it’s certainly unfortunate to have them all out.
Antoine Griezmann, no matter what the competition is, just keeps on scoring goals and doing whatever his team needs. And that’s the case here as he seeks to add to his 26 goals. Kylian Mbappe will also be looking to lead the line and increase his goals tally. After his breakout World Cup, the 20 year old will look to add to the ten goals he has already registered, more than most players would ever dream of after a whole career.
