Liverpool vs West Ham Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Liverpool are at 1/6, a draw is at 7/1, and West Ham are at 14/1.

Liverpool will begin the weekend’s round of fixtures, once again, on top of the Premier League pile by a whopping 22 points over Manchester City in second.  They could be down to ‘only’ a 19 point lead by kick-off, but we think they will be fine with that.  They just lost for only the second time of their season with their senior core, both of which came in Europe, so you will be interested to see how they respond here.  They have been incredible of late giving up just one goal in five PL wins.

West Ham, meanwhile, will begin the weekend in a ton of trouble.  They currently sit in 18th place on 24 points, just a point from Aston Villa as things stand from potentially climbing out of the bottom three.  With that said, they could be further behind when they kick off (and at full time).  It’s just not been pretty from them of late.  They have only two points from their last five PL fixtures and they have conceded 11 times in their last four.  Moyes has not made them any better as of yet, and they will be extremely worried about that fact.

Liverpool’s home record has been beautifully absurd thus far.  13 games, 13 wins for them.  That’s 39 points.  The same total that West Ham would likely be happy to finish with, all truth be told.  It’s enough they’d be safe to avoid relegation alone with…  As for the Hammers, they have not been very good on their travels.  They have three wins and three draws over 13 games, for a below average 12 points.  However, they have lost four in a row following their win at Southampton, leading you to have a very hard time coming up with a reason to back them here.

Ladbrokes have no for both teams scoring at ¾.

Betfair have both Salah and Mane scoring anytime at 1.57. Each to score twice or more is at 3.75.

Liverpool vs West Ham Prediction

Liverpool have dominated West Ham of late, and even with their recent struggles here and there, they should be expecting to come out of this with a fairly easy win.  They get the job done and get back to winning ways.

Correct Score Prediction: Liverpool 3-0 West Ham

Liverpool Team News

Jurgen Klopp continues to be without midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri due to persistent calf problems.  Nathaniel Clyne and Yasser Larouci are both out at the back, while captain Jordan Henderson’s status is up in the air at this point following an apparent hamstring injury sustained on Tuesday.

Liverpool Key Man

Mo Salah just loves scoring goals, he has 14 of them in the PL so far, after all.  But he especially loves scoring them against West Ham.  In the last five matches in which Liverpool have faced the Hammers, he has racked up five goals, only not scoring in one of them in that stretch.  Sadio Mane, a man that did not get much of a chance to impact proceedings in Madrid on Tuesday, also has a nice record against the Londoners.  He has four goals in the last four games against this side, so you can look for the wingers to be at the races here.

Liverpool Team Form

Liverpool have a loss and four wins in their last five matches:

1-0 loss at Atletico Madrid (UCL)
0-1 win at Norwich
1-0 home win vs Shrewsbury (FA Cup)
4-0 home win vs Southampton
0-2 win at West Ham

Liverpool Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-3-3

West Ham Team News

David Moyes will be missing three players, with wide man Andriy Yarmolenko, center midfielder Jack Wilshere, and right back Ryan Fredericks ruled out action for this clash.

West Ham Key Man

The last two times the Hammers have managed to find the back of the net against Liverpool, it was courtesy of the versatile Michail Antonio.  The Englishman has struggled, mostly due to intermittent injuries, but there is little doubting his importance to their cause when he is fit.  Another man that is huge for them will be Lukasz Fabianski.  They missed him badly over the last few months, and him being gone could ultimately be what dooms them to relegation if he can’t stand on his head in outings like this and produce goalkeeping heroics.

West Ham Team Form

West Ham have four losses and a win in their last five matches:

2-0 loss at Manchester City
3-3 home draw vs Brighton
0-2 home loss vs Liverpool
0-1 loss at West Brom (FA Cup)
4-1 loss at Leicester

West Ham Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 5-3-2

Truth be told, we have seen far better from Liverpool than in the last week or so. They have not played to their potential, and it finally cost them at Atletico. Still yet, Atletico are a team that has quality within it. West Ham right now simply do not have that. They also have little to no confidence. Weeks ago, they let Liverpool brush them aside in London, never once so much as challenging the Reds. You really can't expect much better, especially at Anfield.
Liverpool haven't lost any of their last seven matches against West Ham (5W, 2D). In that run, the Reds have scored 21 goals and given up just five.
