Liverpool were unbeaten in ten consecutive matches against Arsenal until their defeat in the league in July – a loss that cost Liverpool the chance to claim 100 points in the season. Arsenal have had the better of Liverpool in their two meetings since Mikel Arteta took charge of the Gunners.
