Atletico Madrid dominate the head-to-head record against Levante, particularly having won their last three matches against them to nil. Their last trip to Levante saw them scored five unanswered goals last season and they have won 3-0 and 1-0 at home since then. Levante’s last win was in May 2016. Levante lost Tono and Rober early on in the win against Girona last weekend, with the former taken off after suffering an injury just seconds into the game. Rober’s injury has been confirmed as a cruciate ligament injury, meanwhile – he will join Cheick Doucoure on the long-term injury list. Sergio Postigo replaced Rober against Girona but he too was taken off injured, while Jason is suspended. Erick Cabaco is likely to partner Ruben Vezo at the back, while Moses Simon could replace Jason on the wing.
Enis Bardhi – Scored the winner against Girona to secure Levante’s La Liga future for at least another season, having also netted the previous week too.
Campana – Scored against Rayo Vallecano and set up the winner last time out – his ninth assist of the season from midfield.
Jose Luis Morales – Joint-top scorer after his strike last weekend – he now has 12 goals and five assists in all competitions this season.
Levante have bounced back from a 1-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Nou Camp with back-to-back wins. Campana, Ruben Vezo, Jason and Enis Bardhi all scored in a 4-1 win against Rayo Vallecano and they confirmed their survival last weekend when Bardhi scored a late winner in a comeback win at Girona – Jose Luis Morales having earlier equalised.
Atletico are light at both ends of the pitch for this final game of the season, due to defensive injuries and attacking suspensions. Francisco Montero is likely to continue alongside Diego Godin at centre-back, with Lucas Hernandez, Jose Gimenez and Stefan Savic sidelined. Up front, Angel Correa could partner the departing Antoine Griezmann, with Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata suspended and Nikola Kalinic unwell. Saul Niguez is also banned. Griezmann may not be the only player featuring for Atletico for the last time, with an exodus of players expected this summer.
