Las Palmas
VS
Granada

Our Prediction Tip

Draw will win this match.

Both teams have scored in all four of the previous matches that have taken place between the sides, so goals look to be likely in this La Liga match. Last year, the points went to the home team on both occasions, with Las Palmas winning 4-1 in front of their own fans but slipping to a 3-2 defeat when they visited Granada later in the campaign. The last three meetings between Las Palmas and Granada have all seen over 4.5 goals scored in the match.

Las Palmas v Granada: Prediction

Las Palmas were very impressive in their 4-2 win at Valencia last time out and they can take a lot of confidence out of that result, especially as they are in front of their own fans this weekend. Las Palmas beat Granada at home last year in La Liga and they will be confident of doing so again.

However, Granada showed last weekend against Villarreal that they can be very hard to break down, so a tight match might well be on the cards, despite the propensity for this match to provide a lot of goals and entertainment for football fans.

Las Palmas v Granada: Betting Tips

Hosts Las Palmas are the favourites here and they are available at a price of 19/20, which might be good value considering their win last time out, while Granada can be backed at 38/11. The draw looks to be a decent option at 13/5, but the main interest has to be in the goals market.

The last four matches between the sides have all featured both teams on the scoresheet so it is certainly worth backing both teams to score at 19/20, while both matches involving these teams in the opening weekend of the campaign also saw both teams score. Over 2.5 goals at 11/10 also looks a good bet considering the entertainment this game usually provides.

Las Palmas pulled off one of the biggest results in La Liga last weekend, winning 4-2 at Valencia to get three points on the board in their opening game of the new campaign. A trio of players - Hernan, Helder Lopes and Javi Castellano - are set to miss this match, but Marko Livaja will again be in the team after scoring a brace last time out.

Las Palmas likely XI:

  • Goalkeeper:- Varas

  • Defenders:- Michel, Garcia, Bigas, Artiles

  • Midfielders:- Gomez, Mesa, El Zhar, Viera, Boateng

  • Forwards:- Livaja

A 1-1 draw at home to Villarreal was a creditable opening to the new campaign for Granada, with striker Ezequiel Ponce scoring the equaliser to claim a point for his team. Coach Paco Jemez is unlikely to make many changes after a positive result last time out, with no fresh injury worries.

Granada likely XI:

  • Goalkeeper:- Ochoa

  • Defenders:- Foulquier, Lomban, Agbo, Tito

  • Midfielders:- Krhin, Marquez, Cuenca, Toral, Boga

  • Forwards:- Ponce

These clubs will both be happy with their start to the season, but it is still too early to judge what sort of season they are likely to have. Las Palmas will be full of confidence after a big win at Valencia last weekend and could claim another three points here, but perhaps the most likely result in this match is a high-scoring draw.
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Granada\'s last three away games in La Liga.
