SD Eibar

Our Prediction Tip

Draw will win this match.

The head-to-head record for this La Liga game does not make good reading for Granada, who are yet to beat Eibar in any of the last four meetings between the two teams. Last year in La Liga, Eibar did the double over Granada, winning 3-1 away and 5-1 at home, so there could be plenty of goals and entertainment on show at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes on Sunday. Aside from a solitary 0-0 draw, both teams have scored in three of the four games between these clubs.

Granada v Eibar: Prediction

Eibar were at their best in their 1-0 win over Valencia in their last game before the international break and if they are able to match those performance levels they will be confident of getting more points on the board here. Granada conceded five to Las Palmas last time out and will be determined to avoid a repeat of that thrashing. Eibar's two wins over Granada in La Liga last season both featured plenty of goals and action, which is good news for watching football fans.

Granada v Eibar: Betting Tips

The bookmakers believe that home advantage is going to be the key in this match and they have made Granada favourites to take the points, with the hosts offered at around the 4/3 mark, while the draw has been made available at 12/5. Eibar's price of 5/2 looks to be good value here.

Both teams to score has landed in three of the last four meetings between Granada and Eibar so is recommended at a price of 10/11, while Eibar double chance stands out at 9/13 as well.

After kicking off their season with a useful 1-1 draw at home to Villarreal, a 5-1 hammering at Las Palmas last time out showed the limitations of this Granada side. They could therefore look to tighten up at the back for this game, even though they were level at 1-1 at half-time before succumbing to a second-half blitz. Granada's midfield will be built around starlet Sergi Samper.

Granada likely XI:

  • Goalkeeper:- Ochoa

  • Defenders:- Tito, Lomban, Agbo, Silva

  • Midfielders:- Cuenca, Krhin, Samper, Martins

  • Forwards:- Ponce, Boga

Eibar beat Valencia 1-0 before the international break and there are unlikely to be a lot of changes made by coach Mendilibar for this game. Pedro Leon's second-half goal was enough to give Eibar the win in that game and Kike and Bebe are the other primary attacking threats in a team that is mostly made up of Spanish players.

Eibar likely XI:

  • Goalkeeper:- Riesgo

  • Defenders:- Capa, Galvez, Ramis, Luna

  • Midfielders:- Garcia, Escalante, Jota, Leon, Bebe

  • Forwards:- Kike

Eibar will be full of confidence after beating Valencia in their last match, while Granada need to bounce back from their heavy loss at the hands of Las Palmas. Neither side is particularly known for their attacking threat, but games between these sides tend to throw up plenty of goals. The clubs look to be evenly-matched this season, so a high-scoring draw is perhaps the result most likely to happen on Sunday.
Eibar have conceded at least twice in their last five away matches, losing nine of their last 11 games on the road in La Liga.
