BHAFC vs WOLVES Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Brighton are at 13/8, a draw is at 21/10, and Wolves are at 15/8.

Brighton will come into this match toward the bottom of the table, as they have been perpetually for basically the entire year.  They have 18 points from their first 15 matches, in a roller coaster season that has seen plenty of ups and downs.  They keep on battling and got perhaps their biggest win thus far at Arsenal on Thursday, keeping up the unpredictable season.  Wolves, on the other hand, are rolling, having failed to lose in nine consecutive PL matches now.  That puts them up to fifth on 23 points, only six off Chelsea for the Champions League places.  Whether they can get there or not is debatable, but there is no questioning the resolve and quality in this side.

At home, Brighton have fared much better than on their travels.  They have accrued 11 of their points on their own patch, including three wins and a couple of draws.  They had won three in a row and had 10 points in a four game run prior to a loss to Leicester at the Amex last time out.  On the road, Wolves have been a bright spot in the division so far. They have ten points from seven, with two wins and four draws.  They have not always won, but they have just the one loss.  They have gone five unbeaten and have nine points to show during the course of that run.

Ladbrokes have no for both sides scoring at 4/5.

Betfair have Jimenez scoring anytime at 2.88.

Brighton vs Wolves Prediction

As much as Brighton like to try and play silky, smooth, and slick football, they will be found out for it.  Wigan have tried it in the past, as have Swansea, and you see where they are now.  Might the Seagulls soon follow them?

Correct Score Prediction: Brighton 0-2 Wolves

Brighton Team News

Graham Potter is missing the likes of Solly March and Jose Izquierdo in midfield, while left back Bernardo has returned to the fold now.

Brighton Key Man

His fitness has been questionable this term, but when he has been well, Leandro Trossard has been fantastic.  He’s scored big goals and set up goals, too, and most of them have come at home.  Can he that again here and help them toward another victory at the Amex?  Goalkeeper Matt Ryan is another big one to keep an eye on here.  He was marvelous against Liverpool in defeat, and it’s just that kind of performance from the Australian that can keep them in the top flight.

Brighton Team Form

Brighton have two wins and three losses in their last five matches:

1-2 win at Arsenal
2-1 loss at Liverpool
0-2 home loss vs Leicester
3-1 loss at Manchester United
2-0 home win vs Norwich

Brighton Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-4-2

Wolves Team News

Nuno Espirito Santo has been very fortunate over the last year and a half with injuries, so much so that his current list of stars out, which includes defender Willy Boly and young midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, might seem large to him.

Wolves Key Man

It’s funny how some were eulogizing Wolves a couple of months ago and now are praising them for their tremendous form.  Such is football.  A big reason has been the turn in form for striker Raul Jimenez.  He had been banging in the goals in the Europa League prior to the season but was slow to start in the PL. He’s now got six goals and three assists, though, so problem averted.  Midfielder Ruben Neves has also turned it up a notch or two of late.  He’s got two goals, always scoring spectacular long-range ones, and is brilliant for his young age at all facets of the midfield war.

Wolves Team Form

Wolves have three wins and two draws in their last five matches:

2-0 home win vs West Ham
1-1 home draw vs Sheffield United
3-3 draw at Braga (UEL)
1-2 win at Bournemouth
2-1 home win vs Aston Villa

Wolves Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 3-4-3

While it is true that Brighton are much better at home than they are away from home, it's very hard to predict a positive result for them here. They are on a downswing of form currently and they also are facing a team in Wolves that are better on paper and on the table. Plus, they will have a bit of extra rest, too, which is not going to help the Seagulls' cause. Wolves have had a ton of draws, but they will figure out a way to win here.
Brighton's win on Thursday made sure they didn't lose four matches in a row while. On the other hand, Wolves have not lost any of their last nine matches dating back to September 22nd.
