Tottenham Hotspur will win this match.

BHAFC vs THFC Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Brighton are at 7/2 to win, a draw is at 11/4, and a Spurs win is at ¾.

Brighton will come into this match on five points, good enough for 14th place.  They have a three point gap to the bottom of the table.  This is all going to be very frustrating for them, especially due to the fact that their one win came against Manchester United.  Since then, they have pushed Liverpool hard but have not won again.  That's good and bad for this match.  They know Spurs are vulnerable, both physically and mentally right now.  And they know how to beat a bigger side.  But their own troubles don't have them in the best of form, so it'll be interesting to see what the mentality is for the Seagulls here.

Spurs, at least on the surface, look like they are in free fall.  They lost to Watford and then Liverpool in the league, and then they just fell on Tuesday to Inter Milan despite blowing a lead very late on.  Pochettino is starting to take a hard line with Harry Kane, and questions will be asked if that is the right course of action to take on your best player.  With a lot of injuries and a lot of tired legs around, Spurs are at a really trying moment.  Will it be stick or twist for the Londoners?  They are sixth on nine points, and this match could well be a preview as to whether they're going to push for top four or languish beneath all term.

No for both teams scoring is at 2.1 at Betfair.

Under 1.5 goals is at 3/1 via Ladbrokes.

Brighton vs Tottenham Prediction

Whether you like it or not, the Prem is all about getting results when you are in tough spots. Pretty football is nice, but practically can't be played at all times.  Spurs just need a win, and they grind one out at the Amex.

Correct Score Prediction: Brighton 0-1 Tottenham

Brighton Team News

Chris Hughton has worries over the fitness of winger Jose Izquierdo and Florin Andone, but the pair could play a role after taking part in training recently.  One player that will not play is key midfielder Pascal Gross, who remains sidelined through an ankle injury.

Brighton Key Players

Glenn Murray, as always, is a man to keep an eye on.  The English veteran has score four goals in five matches in the EPL this season, and has looked especially good at the Amex.  He's scored three of his goals there in just two matches, and he's not shy about doing it to the bigger sides, either.  Anthony Knockaert is also a player that has found his feet.  It took a while after his personal family tragedy, but he has three assists this term, including one last weekend, to see him into this game in very fine form.

Brighton Team Form

Brighton have two draws, two losses, and a win in their last five matches:

2-2 draw at Southampton
2-2 home draw vs Fulham
0-1 home loss vs Southampton (EFL Cup)
1-0 loss at Liverpool
3-2 home win vs Manchester United

Brighton Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-5-1

Tottenham Team News

Mauricio Pochettino has a number of problems to sort through, with many of his players still recovering from a long summer in Russia.  Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who was greatly missed last weekend, looks set to miss out again with his thigh problem.  Midfielders Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko are training again after their hamstring issues.

Tottenham Key Players

Christian Eriksen looked like he had given Spurs a valuable three points with his finish in Milan against Inter on Tuesday, but it was not meant to the be in the end as Spurs acquiesced and conspired to lose.  The Dane has a ton of technical ability, but he did get caught once or twice with poor passes against Liverpool.  Goalkeeper Michel Vorm was also at fault for a lot of that result, and so he will be one to watch here.  Brighton will definitely put him under pressure in this match. Will he crack?

Tottenham Team Form

Spurs have three losses and two wins in their last five matches:

2-1 loss at Inter Milan (UCL)
1-2 home loss vs Liverpool
2-1 loss at Watford
0-3 win at Manchester United
3-1 home win vs Fulham

Tottenham Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-4-2

Brighton are starting to look like one of those teams that can't be read. The Seagulls will come out and beat a top six side, or play them close, and then go out and lay eggs against teams for a half and make it impossible to win. It's the nature of the mid-table. Spurs are destined for that fate if they can't sort out their issues. Despite all of those personnel problems they've been dealt with, this is a must-win that they do in fact win.
Spurs have lost three straight matches heading into this one, all by a score of 2-1.
