VS
Wolverhampton Wanderers

Our Prediction Tip

Draw will win this match.

Wolves and Bournemouth have only played three times before.  The most recent meeting came back in December as Wolves won 2-0 at Molineux thanks to goals from Raul Jimenez and Ivan Cavaleiro.  They also played in the Championship in 2014/15.  Bournemouth won both matches 2-1 that season.

BOU vs WOLVES Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Bournemouth are at 9/5 to win, a draw is at 9/4, and a Wolves win is at 6/4

Bournemouth and Wolves each come into this match on the back of a heck of a season.  Wolves have themselves into the FA Cup quarters, but they also have done a whale of a job for a promoted club in the league.  They had minor wobbles to begin the season, but they are firmly entrenched in seventh currently in the division on 39 points.  Watford are trailing them closely, but those two look like being the contenders for the best of the rest spot.  They have not lost any of their last four and have ten points in that stretch.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, come into this match in 11th place and have 33 points to show from their efforts.  Because of no longer having the FA Cup, they have had two weeks off and will be roaring to go here in this match.  They are near a ton of sides in the middle of the table, so every point will be crucial in determining where they ultimately finish.  This is a team that does much, much better at home.  They have lost three of their last five and two in a row, but all of those came away from the Vitality.

At home, the Cherries have the league’s seventh best record to date with 24 points from 13 matches. They have won seven and drawn three of their 13 games so far, showing just why they have gotten where they are.  They are infinitely better and more confident at home, so you can expect them to go for it right from the off here and show why they started the PL season so well months ago.  In their last four home outings, they have three wins and ten points to show.

Wolves’ away record have been astounding this term, especially when you consider they have just been promoted.  They have eared 18 points from 12 matches, putting them sixth overall in the standings.  That’s above Arsenal, which is really quite the achievement given the relative power of each before the season.  They have been playing well recently away as well, taking just one loss in their last five matches and picking up ten points in that stretch, indicating that this could be quite a fun match.

Betfair have King to score anytime at 2.8.

Both teams scoring, via Ladbrokes, is at 4/5.

Bournemouth vs Wolves Prediction

Both sides are vying to be that top finisher outside of the top six, and this match could be seen as pivotal to each in that regard.  In the end, it ends in a draw with neither side just quite able to grab all three points.

Correct Score Prediction: Bournemouth 2-2 Wolves

Bournemouth Team News

Eddie Howe is missing a couple of players due to knee injuries.  Both center midfielder Lewis Cook and right back Simon Francis continue to miss out.  Striker Callum Wilson and winger Davis Brooks are also remain out, though they should be back sooner than the former duo.  Nathaniel Clyne is free to play after being forced to sit against parent club Liverpool, meaning Adam Smith can return to left back in place of Diego Rico.

Bournemouth Key Man

Missing Wilson certainly hurts the Cherries, but it’s not a killer blow.  With Joshua King up front to lead the line, they still pack quite the punch and can make teams pay on the counter.  He scored twice recently in the 4-0 drubbing of Chelsea and also recorded an assist, giving him eight and three total.  Another danger man is winger Ryan Fraser, another player that should be drawing the attention of the bigger clubs. The flying winger has scored five times, but he’s one of the Prem’s best assisters with nine to show already.

Bournemouth Team Form

The Cherries have three losses and two wins in their last five matches:

3-0 loss at Liverpool
2-0 loss at Cardiff
4-0 home win vs Chelsea
2-0 home win vs West Ham
2-0 loss at Everton

Bournemouth Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-5-1

Wolves Team News

Nuno Espirito Santo continues to have exceptionally good luck with injuries this term, as he looks to once again have a full side to select from for this fixture at the Vitality.

Wolves Key Man

It wasn’t by much in the end, but Wolves scraped through to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup in large part due to Matt Doherty.  The Irish wingback provided the telling assist on the winning goal, adding to a total of four that he has in the PL alone.  He’ll be looking to feed the always dangerous and selfless Raul Jimenez.  The Mexican has been a shrewd signing by the Molineux club, showing goal scoring potential (nine goals), an eye for a pass (five assists), and just all around running that frees up the rest of the sides and creates problems for opposition defences.

Wolves Team Form

Wolves have four wins and a draw in their last five matches:

0-1 win at Bristol City (FA Cup)
1-1 home draw vs Newcastle
3-2 home win vs Shrewsbury (FA Cup)
1-3 win at Everton
3-0 home win vs West Ham

Wolves Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 3-5-2

If this match were being played at Molineux, you'd have to expect it to go the way of Wolves, as it did back in December. But because it is at the Vitality, it has a whole new life to it. Bournemouth are a much more confident and imposing side their in front of their supporters at the small yet ferocious ground. That's not to say that Wolves can't challenge, though. They have a fine away record, and they will make this quite the match.
Bournemouth have earned 24 of their 33 points this season at home while winning seven of their ten games at the Vitality.
