West Ham have won five of their 12 previous games against Bournemouth, but all three of the Cherries’ three wins and two of the four draws have come since Bournemouth were promoted to the Premier League in 2015. Both of last season’s matches ended in draws, while earlier this season Callum Wilson and Steve Cook scored second-half goals – after Marko Arnautovic’s penalty opener – in a 2-1 Bournemouth win.

It is hard to believe AFC Bournemouth were in such good form at the start of the season considering their recent results – two wins in 14 games is a dismal run of form, and they have lost four of their last five.
Callum Wilson should be fit after injury, and that is a boost, but he and Ryan Fraser have been unable to consistently continue their brilliant early-season form in attack, with 16 goals and 16 assists between them.
For West Ham, they too could be without their top-scoring striker in Marko Arnautovic, and the Austrian’s future is in doubt.
But – despite still having a very long injury list – some of West Ham’s injury worries are easing, and that includes up front where Javier Hernandez is set to return and Andy Carroll already has.
Samir Nasri has signed and could be a valuable attacking asset in the latter half of the season too, while their joint-top scorer is Felipe Anderson on the wing.
West Ham, therefore, despite their injuries, have attacking options and their away form – defeat to Burnley in their most recent away game aside – has improved lately too.
Bournemouth are struggling, there is no getting away from that, and the Cherries could be heading towards another defeat on Saturday with West Ham in resurgent form.
Despite Bournemouth’s miserable form, and West Ham’s improved results of late, the Cherries are slight favourites with the bookmakers. That means a very tempting best price of 19/10 on a West Ham win with 10Bet.
Bournemouth have plenty of firepower despite their poor form, however. Both teams to score has been set at 8/15 with 10Bet.
A West Ham win and BTTS is worth 18/5 with 888sport, while over 2.5 goals has been set at 8/13 with Ladbrokes, Bet365 and Betway.
Callum Wilson is 11/8 to score at any time on his expected return from injury for Bournemouth, while Felipe Anderson could be a good option for West Ham – he is a best price of 5/2 with Betway.
Out-of-form Bournemouth have won just twice in their last 14 games and have gone five matches since they lasted tasted success. That run could go on against resurgent West Ham.
Top scorer Callum Wilson is due back from a hamstring injury, which Eddie Howe confirmed was not serious after he missed the defeat to Everton last weekend. Lewis Cook and Simon Francis have suffered serious knee injuries, however, and Dominic Solanke is also sidelined – he will be out until next month with a thigh injury. Adam Smith has come back from his own knee injury, however, while the loan acquisition of Nathaniel Clyne has added further defensive cover on the opposite side.
Callum Wilson – Bournemouth’s top scorer notched his tenth goal of the season in the draw with Watford and he also has six assists – his return from injury could be key.
Ryan Fraser – The Scottish international has six goals and ten assists this season, proving to be the creative heart of Bournemouth’s system.
David Brooks – Goals in the win against Brighton took him to five for the season and provided a rare highlight in Bournemouth’s Christmas/New Year programme.
Bournemouth are without a win in their last five matches, drawing just one of those, and they now have just two wins in their last 14 games in all competitions. Their one draw of late was a pulsating match against Watford, in which they came back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to draw 3-3 with all goals scored in the first half. That followed heavy defeats to Tottenham and Manchester United, however. Nathan Ake, Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser were the goalscorers in that draw, but a 3-1 FA Cup defeat at home to Brighton followed – Marc Pugh scoring – before last weekend’s 2-0 loss at Everton.
Wantaway striker Marko Arnautovic might not feature against Bournemouth regardless of where his future lies, having suffered back pain in the last two matches. If the Austrian striker misses out, Javier Hernandez (back) is hoping to be fit, or Andy Carroll could come into the starting line-up. With a lengthy injury list, Ryan Fredericks, Jack Wilshere, Winston Reid, Andriy Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini, Carlos Sanchez and Fabian Balbuena are also sidelined. The acquisition of Samir Nasri has eased some of their concerns, however, and the new signing played the first 70 minutes in the win against former team Arsenal last time out.
Felipe Anderson – Joint-top scorer in his debut season with eight goals and three assists and, if Arnautovic misses out, could be key going forward.
Javier Hernandez – Five goals in 16 appearances before his latest injury setback but he looks set to return just as the Hammers are without Arnautovic.
Samir Nasri – Reunited with Manuel Pellegrini and could prove to be a shrewd signing on his return to the Premier League.
West Ham have lost just one of their last five matches – a 2-0 reverse at Burnley – since when they have drawn 2-2 with Brighton and won against Birmingham City and Arsenal. Marko Arnautovic scored twice as the Hammers came from 2-0 down in that draw – their first game of 2019 – while he and Andy Carroll netted in a 2-0 FA Cup win against the Blues. Declan Rice scored the only goal of the game against Arsenal last time out.
