Atletico Madrid are yet to concede a Champions League goal against Juventus. Their only previous meetings in the competition were in the group stage in 2014/15, when the two teams drew 0-0 in Turin, but Atletico had earlier won 1-0 at home thanks to Arda Turan’s goal.

Atletico lost the Madrid derby to halt some of their momentum – having also lost to Real Betis the week before – but they did at least get back to winning ways at the weekend.
With Diego Costa back available, they have an abundance of attacking talent – spearheaded, of course, by Antoine Griezmann and they generally remain solid at the back too.
Juventus are led by Cristiano Ronaldo in attack and he is back to his very best form – four goals in his last three games proves as much.
They lost to Atalanta in the Coppa Italia but have scored nine goals in their last three league games.
Atletico’s home record in the Champions League should not be ignored, however. They beat Juventus 1-0 the last time the two teams met in Madrid, and they have lost just one of their last 17 on home soil.

Antoine Griezmann scored the only goal of the game in the win at Rayo Vallecano at the weekend as Atletico Madrid bounced back from consecutive defeats with a 1-0 victory. The had lost the Madrid derby 3-1 the previous weekend, despite another Griezmann goal, and also suffered a 1-0 reverse at Real Betis the week before that in a disappointing start to the month.
Douglas Costa and Daniele Rugani trained individually at the start of the week as they look to get back to full fitness. Juan Cuadrado faces another month out after knee surgery.
Cristiano Ronaldo – If his importance was not already well established, the Portuguese superstar has scored four goals in the last three games to reiterate that.
Paulo Dybala – Opened the scoring against Frosinone at the weekend and already has a Champions League hat-trick this season after his triple strike against Young Boys.
Leonardo Bonucci – The centre-back will be responsible for keeping Antoine Griezmann under wraps – as well as offering a towering presence from set pieces at the other end.
After a 3-0 Coppa Italia defeat at Atalanta and 3-3 draw with Parma in the league – despite Cristiano Ronaldo scoring twice as Juve went 3-1 ahead on 66 minutes – Juventus have bounced back with two consecutive 3-0 wins.
