West Brom vs Liverpool Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

West Bromwich Albion are at 5/1 to win, a draw is at 7/2, and a Liverpool win is at ½.

West Brom will enter this weekend's fixtures down at the very bottom of the table with just 24 points. Without their win last weekend, they would have absolutely no chance.  As it stands, they have very little opportunity to stay in the top flight unless they can win five in a row effectively.  On top of that, they also have to get from help from the teams above. They will have to hope that some of the sides don't get over 36 points total in order to have a sliver of hope.

As for Liverpool, they will begin the weekend in third position with 70 points.  They are now clear of Spurs by two points after they drew with Brighton in midweek.  In addition to that, the Reds are only four points back of Man United for second.  That doesn't seem like a huge deal, given that they are well ahead of the UCL slots and nearly there, but it would be massive if they could finish above the Red Devils.  Two more wins will seal entry to that competition for next season for them, no matter what others behind them do.

At home, the Baggies have the league's worst record. They have only won twice all term and have only 14 points there, with just one coming for them in the past five outings. This has been just one of their major problems, but it must be said that this has held them back the most. They have only scored 18 goals there in 17 matches as well, pointing to a real issue in front of goal.

As for the Reds' away record, they have the third best record in the division.  They have 31 points away from Anfield, seven more than West Brom have total.  They have dropped points in two of the last three matches, during the Champions League run, so there is a little bit of precedence there for them to potentially drop points in this match if they do not play well.

Salah to score anytime is at ½ via Ladbrokes.

West Brom vs Liverpool Prediction

Despite the brilliant win last weekend for West Brom over United and the fact that Liverpool are going to definitely rest players where they can, you still have to like the chances for the Reds to get a win and a step closer to clinching Champions League football next term.

Correct Score Prediction: West Bromwich Albion 1-2 Liverpool

Team News

Darren Moore has a few injury worries with center back Jonny Evans, midfielders James Morrison and Gareth Barry, and forward Hal-Robson Kanu set to miss out.  After the win last weekend at Old Trafford, it would be a major shock to see many- if any- changes made to the side.

Key Man

It has been a long, bumpy road all season long for the Baggies and the same can be said about Jay Rodriguez's own career for quite a while. The Englishman had a great showing at Southampton before terrible injuries held him back.  But he's come back to full fitness now, and it showed last weekend as he scored a memorable winner at Old Trafford against Manchester United for his seventh goal of the term.

Team Form

West Brom have a win, a draw, and three losses in their last five matches:

0-1 win at Manchester United
1-1 home draw vs Swansea
1-2 home loss vs Burnley
2-1 loss at Bournemouth
1-4 home loss vs Leicester

West Bromwich Albion Predicted Starting Line-up

Expected Line-up: 4-4-1-1

Team News

Jurgen Klopp is missing center backs Joel Matip and Joe Gomez and midfielders Emre Can and Adam Lallana due to injuries. Right back Nathaniel Clyne has been trying to remain fit, but he should be able to play a role here.  There are some changes that could be made, but expect to see the front three deployed at some point in order to keep match sharpness.

Key Man

Knowing exactly how and when Klopp will rotate is impossible, but there is little doubting that he will make some moves to preserve his team ahead of the semi-final with Roma that begins on Tuesday.  With that said, Mo Salah has got to be the man to watch here in this fixture.  After another goal last weekend, the Egyptian pharaoh is now just one goal back of the record for most PL goals in a 38 game season. That would be a total of 31, making him very likely to win the golden boot if he surpasses that total.

Team Form

Liverpool have four wins and a draw in their last five matches:

3-0 home win vs Bournemouth
1-2 win at Manchester City (UCL)
0-0 draw at Everton
3-0 home win vs Manchester City (UCL)
1-2 win at Crystal Palace

Liverpool Predicted Starting Line-up

Expected Line-up: 4-3-3

With the Champions League looming large on the horizon, Liverpool will be looking forward with half a mind- at least- to that fixture. That could be just what the lowly Baggies need as well, seeing as how they are looking to cling on to any hope whatsoever of staying up. They need four wins to have any chance, you have to think. One thing on the mind of both Jurgen Klopp and fans of the Reds will be about rotation. That further complicates what should be a simple task for them, on paper, at least.
Despite a poor recent run of form that includes just one win in their last seven matches, West Brom have still managed to score in each outing.
