Juventus vs Torino Match Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Juventus are at 4/11 to win, a draw is at 15/4, and a Torino win is at 7/1.

Juventus' gap to Torino might be as close as it has been in a very long time, but that gap is still a considerable margin at the end of the day.  Even a win for Torino here would not prove that they are on Juventus' level in the slightest because the Old Lady are simply a bigger side and much more consistent in all sorts of competitions.

This gives them a huge leg up when they play Torino, though they will have to account for the midweek match with Olympiakos.  Juventus have a full side and they are great from top to bottom.  They don't make many mistakes at the back, unless against the very top teams, and are great in attack.

Because of that, and Torino's tendency to leak goals, you always have to favor Juve in this tie. Torino have not shown that they are to be trusted yet, and even with a strong attack, it could prove useless against the fatal Paulo Dybala.

Dybala to score twice is at 13/5 odds.

Juventus vs Torino Prediction

Juventus get a largely entertaining win over their local rivals to continue their perfect start to Serie A.

Correct Score Prediction: Juventus 4-2 Torino

Team News

Max Allegri will be without left winger Marko Pjaca and center midfielder Claudio Marchisio due to injuries for about another week. Right back Mattia De Sciglio is also closing in on a return to action.

Key Man

Eight goals in just five matches played so far has Paulo Dybala up there with the likes of Messi and Falcao as top scorers across Europe thus far.  The Argentine dynamo has added the one thing that was missing from his game with all of those goals, and he looks to have completely eclipsed his fellow Argentine, Gonzalo Higuain, as a result. Look for him to continue his stellar season in this derby.

Team Form - WWLWW

Juve have four wins and a loss in their last five matches.  They won 2-4 away to Genoa and 3-0 at home to Chievo before their 3-0 loss away to Barcelona in the Champions League.  They bounced back, though, with a 1-3 win away to Sassuolo last weekend and a 1-0 win over Fiorentina in midweek.

Juventus Predicted Starting Line-up

  • Defenders:Lichtsteiner, Benatia, Chiellini, Sandro

  • Defensive Midfielders:Pjanic, Matuidi

  • Forwards:Higuain

Team News

Slavisa Mihajlovic continues to be without center midfielder Joel Obi due to his muscle injury.

Key Man

Andrea Belotti has started the season a little slowly for Torino this term, but the 23 year old Italian hotshot still has found the back of the net three times thus far.  He scored the first goal on Wednesday as his side jumped out to a quick lead over Udinese, and that will have to be the plan for them at the home of Juventus on Saturday.  They are a huge threat whenever he's on the field, as he's a complete striker, so look for him to cause a lot of havoc for the opposition back line.

Team Form- WDWWD

Torino have three wins and two draws in their last five matches.  They drew 1-1 away to Bologna and then won 3-0 at home over Sassuolo.  They then had a 0-1 triumph away to Benevento before getting a 2-2 draw at home to Sampdoria last weekend.  On Wednesday, they won 2-3 at Udinese.

Torino Predicted Starting Line-up

Expected Line-up: 4-2-3-1

Torino likely XI

  • Goalkeeper:Sirigu

  • Defenders:De Silvestri, N'Koulou, Burdisso, Ansaldi

  • Defensive Midfielders:Baselli, Rincon

  • Attacking Midfielders:Falque, Ljajic, Niang

  • Forwards:Belotti

Any time Juventus and Torino meet in the Turin Derby, only one side is favored: Juventus. They are the bigger, badder, and meaner older brother than refuses to let their younger sibling win. This season, so far, at least, the gap appears to have closed to be closer than it has been in some time. However, that gap is going to be tested here in a very big way. Even with a Champions League match in midweek, it's difficult to see Juventus losing here, though a draw could be on the cards.
Juventus haven't lost any of the last five derbies against Torino (4W, 1D).
