Our Prediction Tip

Rangers will win this match.

Hamilton's famous win at Ibrox back in November was their first win 19 attempts against Rangers, and it sees them three points above the drop at the moment. In the other 18 matches, Rangers have won 16 times and drawn just twice. Here's a look at the last five results:

Nov 18, 2017: Rangers 0-2 Hamilton
Sep 29, 2017: Hamilton 1-4 Rangers
Mar 18, 2017: Rangers 4-0 Hamilton
Mar 4, 2017: Rangers 6-0 Hamilton (FA Cup)

Hamilton vs Rangers Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Hamilton are at 13/2 to win, a draw is at 7/2, and a Rangers win is at 2/5.

Hamilton, with two matches in hand over many of their rivals in the Premiership, will enter this weekend's fixtures down in 11th place on 23 points so far. They are just three ahead of Ross County for the relegation place, but they do have those two matches in hand that could help them climb further up. If they were to win both, they could theoretically at least, be three points away from the top half. They are not in good form with just one win and three points in their last five matches.

Rangers, meanwhile, will enter in third place on 49 points through 26 matches. They are a full 11 points back of Celtic and three back of Aberdeen at the moment, so second place is still very much on the table for them currently if they buckle down and rack up results. They have won three of their last five matches and have ten points out of the last 15 on offer.

At home, Hamilton have been the worst team in the league statistically so far. They have only nine points from 12 matches, but four of those have come in the last five so there is a bit of a cause for encouragement. They have three losses, though, in that run as well. Rangers' away form has been very good, and they are tied with Celtic on 29 points- through 13 matches each- for first place in the Premiership. They have only lost twice away, and they have won three of their last five away matches while picking up ten points over that stretch.

A no for both teams to score, via Ladbrokes, is set at 20/23.

Hamilton vs Rangers Prediction

Hamilton have won just twice in their last nine matches and only once in their last six. To say they are on a downward spiral would be an underestimate, and it will be hard for them to overcome the Light Blues this time around.

Correct Score Prediction: Hamilton 0-2 Rangers

Team News

Martin Canning will be missing midfielders Darian Mackinnon and Ali Crawford and forward Rakish Bingham with injuries.  Right back Giannis Skondras is also set to miss out through suspension.

Key Man

One man that Hamilton will be delighted to have back is striker David Templeton. He missed out last weekend after getting two yellow cards in the loss to Dundee, and he was sorely missed as they lost badly at Aberdeen.  Templeton has played well this season to score three goals and to gather four assists so far, showing how big of a factor he can be for them.

Team Form

Hamilton have four losses and a win in their last five matches:

3-0 loss at Aberdeen
1-2 home loss vs Dundee
0-3 home loss vs Hearts
2-0 loss at Motherwell (FA Cup)
1-3 win at Motherwell

Hamilton Academical Predicted Starting Line-up

Expected Line-up: 3-5-2

Team News

Graeme Murty has injuries that continue to keep midfield options Jordan Rossiter and Graham Dorrans out of action.

Key Man

For 20 minutes last time out, Rangers trailed away to lower division side Ayr United in a shocker. But they turned it 'round in part thanks to Alfredo Morelos. The 21 year old Colombian has been very good since joining, and his two goals helped them end up winning easily in the end. He is tied for first in the Premiership on 11 goals now, and he will be looking to notch his first goal in the league in nearly a month in this one.

Team Form

Rangers have four wins and a loss in their last five matches:

1-6 win at Ayr United (FA Cup)
0-2 win at Partick Thistle
1-2 home win vs Hibernian
0-3 win at Fraserburgh (FA Cup)
1-2 win at Ross County

Rangers Predicted Starting Line-up

Expected Line-up: 4-4-2

After seeing two straight matches now go to the away side, it is hard to make a case against Rangers in this one. Even though they are yet to get the new manager that they crave, they have been looking much better of late and should be more than capable of keeping up a good string of performances with a victory over their threatened hosts.
The away side has won both of the league fixtures this season.
