Our Prediction Tip

Draw will win this match.

These two sides have met seven times before, but none of the meetings have happened in the last 15 years.  Cyprus have won four times and earned two draws against Estonia, which might be just a bit of a surprise.  Here's how the last five meetings went down:

Cyprus vs Estonia Prediction

This match won't settle an awful lot.  These two sides will play out a relatively tame draw.

Predicted Scoreline: Cyprus 1-1 Estonia

Cyprus vs Estonia Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have Cyprus at 21/20 to win, a draw at 11/5, and an Estonia win at 14/5.

Both teams to score is at 21/20 for yes and 7/10 for no(Betfair).

A 1-0 win for Cyprus at full time could bring you 10/1 odds if correct.

Reason: The bookmakers are leaning toward Cyprus here because they are at home and because they do have an edge in the head to head record.  They don't believe it will be by much, however, as the 1-0 win odds indicate.

Team News

Pambos Christodoulou will be without key striker Piero Sotiriou for this match due to a yellow card suspension.

Key Man

Central midfielder Grigoris Kastanos is a man well worth watching for now and for later on.  At just 19, Cyprus are putting a lot of faith in the youngster who is currently at Pescara (from Juventus on loan). The fact that Juve have him on their books says it all.  He has massive potential, and Cyprus have immediately rushed him into the team despite him being such a young age.  Look for him to be an inspiration in the middle for this Cypriot team as they try to get a second consecutive win.

Team Form

Cyprus have one wins and three losses so far in the group.  They last played at home to bottom side Gibraltar, and they got a 3-1 win to give them their first group victory.

Expected Line-up: 4-3-3

Cyprus likely XI

  • Goalkeeper:Panagi

  • Defenders:Dimitriou, Siells, Laifis, Charalampous

  • Midfielders:Artymatas, Kyriakou, Kastanos

  • Striker:Christofl, Efrem, Mytidis

Team News

Magnus Pehrsson also has been able to pick a squad without any restrictions for this match.

Key Man

Henri Anier, a 26 year old that plays for Inverness in Scotland, is a man to keep a close eye on in this match.  Anier is usally the preferred striker, and he's managed to score seven times for his nation in 34 caps to this point.  His club career has never really taken off, but he seems to find decent form when he plays for his nation.  It's hoped that that will once again be the case in this match on Saturday.

Team Form

Estonia have three losses and one win in their four group matches thus far.  Their win also came at home to Gibraltar in a 4-0 triumph.  However, their latest result was an 8-1 hammering in Belgium.

Expected Line-up: 4-5-1

Estonia likely XI

  • Goalkeeper:Aksalu

  • Defenders:Teniste, Baranov, Klavan, Kallaste

  • Midfielders:Mosnikov, Mets, Vassiljev, Dmitrijev, Luts

  • Striker:Anier

These two sides are pretty evenly matched, so you just have to lean towards the home side. Cyprus have some good attacking talent that they can put out on the pitch, but they will be without their main striker in this match. That might just be enough to tip the balance back toward Estonia a little bit. It\'s hard to call, so a draw looks very likely.
0- the number of times that either have side have made either the World Cup or European Championships. Estonia did come closest, though, when they made the Euro 2012 playoffs only to get beaten by the Republic of Ireland.
